“It was great to be in a small cohort of learners who all came from a variety of ministry positions and to learn self-care so we can be better ministers. There was a great balance of scientific information about how our bodies work and ways to take care of our bodies physically and spiritually. We learned how helping one area helps the other, such as how meditation or breathing as a spiritual exercise literally lowers your heart rate. I appreciated even being aware of things we might do without thinking, such as negative self talk. If you have the opportunity to take this class, I highly recommend it!”

"I highly recommend Jim's Healthy Catholic Ministry classes.. The tips and information he provided are comprehensive and backed by solid research, yet practical and accessible. I found the suggestions and practices to be truly foundational for calming my nervous system, reducing negative stress and allowing more joy into my life! I was able to recognize more readily the choice I have in each moment to move toward peace and grounding in Christ, or toward burnout and chaos--and it made a difference in how I show up both at work and at home. Jim is a master at making complicated concepts simple, and humbly and appropriately shares which practices work in his life--while facilitating a sense of caring and support within the class. Jim's joy in serving God and all God's people is contagious; I always come away from an encounter with Jim more hopeful and in touch with God's love for me and for all
